Completely Oblivious, the Band

Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 **Doors Open At 7:30PM **

Cats and the Fiddler

Lifelong songwriting fanatics and current Kettle Staff members (from Highland and White Lake, MI,) Doug & Bev Larsen and Jim Roche formed Completely Oblivious the Band in the fall of 2009 to participate in a musical fundraiser to benefit the ailing automotive industry. The momentum of that single performance has spawned a continuing exploration of music & song as well as many more performances! Not only were they a hit, they were a featured band the next year for same fundraiser! With the addition of veteran drummer Matt Dinan, CotB is ready to rock the Hartland Music Hall!

Completely Oblivious, the Band will perform both smart original & acclaimed covers songs! Known for vocal harmonies, the band will be heard genre-hopping through musical styles that vary from sing-alongs to rock! Joining CotB on stage will be special musical guest members of the locally based Kettle Cooperative

Band members include:

Jim Roche- (guitars& vocals) Besides playing some mean guitar and harmonizing vocals Jim's writing style has a Beatle-esque melodic style and he often writes about everyday events with a humorous spin. His songs have great hooks and sometimes even sing along choruses!

Bev Larsen- (bass & acoustic guitar & vocals) Her driving bass lines and soothing vocals aside, Bev contributes very personal songs about people and events that have touched the life around her. She has also won The River's (93.1FM) only song writing contest and had her song sung live on-air by Stuart Franke.

Doug Larsen- (guitars, other stuff & vocals) In addition to his ever experimenting guitar sounds Doug contributes songs that are melodically strong, laced with double meanings and intended to make a musical contribution. His education was provided by the likes of Steve Earle, Bob Dylan & Jeff Tweedy of Wilco.

Matt Dinan- (drums & percussion) While known as an amazing veteran metro-Detroit area drummer, it is much less known that Matt has a professorial knowledge rock music and is a serious collector of the coolest rock memorabilia.
